Meeting Topic:  Accounting Career Path – Importance of the IMA & CMA
Speaker:    Jim Carr, CMA, MBA

Jim is a Controller with 20 years’ experience in Accounting in multiple industries such as manufacturing, high tech and software development. He created financial analysis reporting system showing sales levels, variance analysis with an analytical report providing senior management with accurate financial data. He converted payroll system increasing efficiency and accuracy collecting employee time and improving the quality of data transmitted to the payroll service, eliminated paper time cards and reduced the risk of fraudulent time reporting. He increased customer collections reducing the time from shipment to payment to an average of 35 days and increasing cash flow. He managed up to 30 employees and $180 Million of revenue. He earned an MBA from National University and has a Certified Management Accountant certificate.
